Who We Are

Hi! We’re Mallory and Sophia, the co-founders of Sunday Made. As children we lived in Ghana, making formative memories of the beauty the culture had to offer. 

After being home for 18 years, and rturning to Accra recently to visit, we still have a strong connection and love the masterpiece of each bead. 

Now, Sunday Made is a vessel for our values of ethical consumerism, fair trade partnerships and making Ghanaian beauty accessible to everyone.

The Process

  • Step 1: Recycled Glass

    Glass from old bottles and windows are collected and crushed into a fine powder.

  • Step 2: Moulds

    Crushed glass powder is placed in hand made clay moulds.

  • Step 3: Firing

    Moulds are placed in a fire where the crushed glass is melted down.

  • Step 4: Forming

    While hot, the glass is formed and a hole is made.

  • Step 5: Hand Painting

    Each bead is painted by hand, their own unique masterpiece!

  • Step 6: Stringing

    The beads are strung together for wholesale.
