Who We Are

Hi! We’re Mallory and Sophia, the co-founders of Sunday Made. As children we lived in Ghana, making formative memories of the beauty the culture had to offer. After being home for 16 years we still have a strong connection and love the masterpiece of each bead. Now, Sunday Made is a vessel for our values of ethical consumerism, fair trade partnerships and making Ghanaian beauty accessible to everyone. Come and see for yourself!

The Process

  • Step 1: Recycled Glass

    Glass from old bottles and windows are collected and crushed into a fine powder.

  • Step 2: Moulds

    Crushed glass powder is placed in hand made clay moulds.

  • Step 3: Firing

    Moulds are placed in a fire where the crushed glass is melted down.

  • Step 4: Forming

    While hot, the glass is formed and a hole is made.

  • Step 5: Hand Painting

    Each bead is painted by hand, their own unique masterpiece!

  • Step 6: Stringing

    The beads are strung together for wholesale.
